Jackson State University, one of the premier HBCUs in the country,  would  like  to  invite  qualified applicants  for  our Research  Experience  for Undergraduate   (REU)  Summer Program.  Our  program  focuses on  nanomaterials-based environmental sensing, biological application, and modeling. Our primary goals are to provide training opportunities for underrepresented minority individuals in the interdisciplinary areas of nanoscience. This program would like to recruit students in the areas of study in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Civil & Environmental Engineering. You will work with our outstanding faculty for ten weeks on cutting-edge research and gain skills in a variety of settings for continued success in your career.

The Research Experience for Teachers (RET) program will recruit two outstanding high school chemistry teachers to have meaningful experiences in nanomaterials science and learn recent advances in this field. The teachers are expected to bring their knowledge learned in nanomaterials science to their classrooms.
